*Warning – contains spoilers for the first season of MobLand*
Crime drama MobLand became a huge hit when its first run aired last year, and now finally it is back for a second season, which is set to up the ante.
All of the major stars are back including Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, while there are also some crucial new additions to the cast in the form of Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond.
Speaking exclusively with Radio Times, Jan star Joanne Froggatt said that "the wheels are coming off for everybody" in season 2, and that "for all the characters, everyone's fractured and everyone’s going through their separate dramas".
Meanwhile, Hardy added: "Yeah, we follow a lot more characters. Now we've introduced them, there's more airtime for every individual, so it's growing. And it's more dynamic as well, there’s more going on."
Thankfully, we already know that the Paramount+ show will be back for a third season as well – meaning we can settle in for plenty more action with the Harrigans and Harry Da Souza.
But what else do we know about MobLand season 2 so far? Read on for everything you need to know.
Will there be a MobLand season 2?

There will! It was confirmed on 23rd June 2025 that MobLand will be back for season 2, after the first run became the second highest rated original series ever on Paramount Plus, behind only Landman.
When the news was announced, Chris McCarthy, one of Paramount Global’s three CEOs and the president of Showtime/MTV Entertainment, said: "With more than 26 million viewers and climbing, MobLand has become a resounding triumph — driven by the creative brilliance of Guy [Ritchie], Jez [Butterworth], Ronan [Bennett] and David Glasser, and brought to life by the powerhouse performances of Tom [Hardy], Pierce [Brosnan], and Helen [Mirren].
"We are elated to green light a second season of this global phenomenon, which has dominated both domestic and international charts and soared to No. 1 in the UK."
Meanwhile, Butterworth said: "TV was a brand new world for me and I was reluctant to commit to a TV overall, but Chris, David, and the teams at Paramount and 101 Studios, completely changed my perspective with their bold creative vision and razor-sharp strategic insight.
"Collaborating with Chris, David, Guy and our stellar cast has been nothing short of inspiring, and I’m excited to dive into the second season of MobLand."

It's now been confirmed that the second season will arrive on Paramount+ on – with the new episodes launching globally on that date.
That date was revealed on Thursday 9 July alongside a new teaser trailer and a fresh batch of first-look images, and it seems that things will be taken up another notch or two in this new run.
The tagline for the new run does little to suggest otherwise, reading: "Prepare for uncivil war, the Harrigans are bloody back."
Meanwhile, the synopsis for the 10-episode second season says that it "will see the Harrigans struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire – and Harry Da Souza, their street-smart and formidable ‘fixer’, must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions within the family intensify".
It continues: "As violence spills into every corner of their lives, loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy."
