The Mercury-winning songwriter has been through some severe health difficulties, opening up in a recent statement to fans.

Suffering a severe haemorrhagic stroke caused by a brain bleed linked to high blood pressure, the English artist was forced to halt all live commitments.

His album ‘FUDGE’ was recorded before this period, and it will be released on October 23rd.

Broadly self-produced at a studio close to his Southampton home, the project is led by the rich, refulgent piece ‘SUMMER CLOTHES’. A dose of widescreen optimism that grapples with the transcendent power music can hold, it lifts inspirational words from the late American jazz pianist Chick Corea, while also summoning the grandeur of Scott Walker’s early solo period.
