Mercury Rev formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1989 and have been active ever since. Their early records drew from psychedelic noise, while later work has pulled in jazz, funk, doo-wop, techno, and folk. The reissue follows the band’s long-running pattern of revisiting and reshaping their catalogue. , their tenth album, was released in 2024 through Bella Union.
