"ende" is the closing track of the album, and it arrives after previous singles "kopfkino" and "images on loan", featuring Jan Urila Sas and Shun Ishiwaka.

The lyrics were written in collaboration with Semones, with Koda's intention being to write “something that felt like a fragment of a distant memory, something I might have heard half-asleep during the closing credits of a film". The track also pays homage to the endings of several films that he recalls from childhood, and features a trio of string performers Hiraku Yamamoto, Ayaka Yanagihara and Tomohiro Yamauchi, who perform alongside key album contributors saxophonist Kei Matsumaru, drummer Shinya Fukumori, and bassist Marty Holoubek.
