Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has reportedly been tipped for a return to acting with a role in the hit Netflix drama The Gentlemen.
The speculation follows news earlier this week that Prince Harry and Meghan will relocate to the UK later this month, with reports saying their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have been enrolled in a British school and will begin in September.
The Gentlemen is a comedy series written and directed by Guy Ritchie about a soldier (Theo James) who inherits his father’s dukedom and sizeable country estate, but soon discovers it’s part of a cannabis empire.
The publication reports that the role is currently being written for the series’ unannounced third season, and it is unknown how many episodes she could star in.
Meghan is also understood to have met Ritchie through mutual acquaintances. Further details about the potential role are yet to be revealed.
Meghan is perhaps best known for her role in legal drama Suits, in which she played lawyer Rachel Zane for seven seasons, before leaving the show in 2017 following her engagement to Harry.
She recently fronted her own reality show, With Love, Meghan, for Netflix.
Asked whether she could foresee a return to acting in 2022, Markle told Variety: “No, I’m done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”

The Gentlemen is set to return to Netflix with its second season in September, which will see James's Eddie and Kaya Scodelario's Susie expand their operations overseas to Italy.
Other returning actors joining James and Scodelario in season 2 include Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson and Vinnie Jones.
Meanwhile, new additions to the cast include Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville and Michele Morrone, who starred in the Netflix hit 365 Days.
