London born DJs, producers, and cousins Max and Luke Dean took over Tottenham Court Road last week for JD’s launch of three new colourways of the New Balance ABZORB 1890.
Hosting a set at The Outernet building just outside the station, the pair played an infectious set to a packed out crowd, turning a high-energy set into a celebratory moment. Bonded by a deep rooted appreciation for house and electronic music, the duo have become two of the UK’s most sought after DJs,

The dynamic set, which featured tracks from Max and Luke Dean’s forthcoming album featuring Nafe Smallz, was surrounded by immersive digital screens showcasing three new colourways of the New Balance ABZORB 1890: Shipyard/Bone, Slate Grey/Altitude Metallic and Black/Dark Silver Metallic, all available at JD Sports.
The shoe is a nostalgic, hybrid creation, remixing archival classic design for a new era. A lightweight, dynamic silhouette comes courtesy of the 890v3, pairing the shoe’s signature breathable mesh with synthetic leather overlays for a technical look and feel. The ABZORB also draws on the high performance practicality of the 2002R running shoe, providing extra cushioning to absorb maximum impact and protection.
