Materazi Future Club Unveil New Album ‘THE ITALIAN JOB’

have shared their latest full-length LP, ’THE ITALIAN JOB’, out today via Woodworm Publishing SRL/ Universal Music Italia.

Leaping over the sophomore slump, the Milan-based trio bounce back with a punchy, rough-round-the-edges grit that speaks to football mania. Across nine tracks, the outfit merges post-punk with forward-thinking electronics, treating each studio session as a world-building exercise. The result is a focussed, full-power listen that plays ball, leaning into its strengths as a conceptual record that feels uniquely universal.

Since making their debut with 2024’s ‘Punkinari’ EP, Materazi Future Club have swiftly built a dedicated following. Made up of and the group share a unique approach to their performance, evoking the spirit of the dancefloor amongst their crowds.

Coinciding with the album release is the focus track, ‘ZOLA (The Italian Job, Pt. 1)’, which opens with an upbeat acoustic drum rhythm, accompanied by a wonderfully catchy post-punk guitar riff and Materazi Future Club’s energetic three-part vocals. ‘ZOLA (The Italian Job, Pt. 1)’ taps into the anthemic, anarchic spirit of Fontaines D.C., IDLES, and Sprints.

The group are gearing up for their European Club Tour, taking over venues across Turin, Florence, Ravenna, Berlin and beyond. It’s a new chapter for the band who will be road-testing their new material to captive crowds.

Speaking on the release, the band share:

“We wrote the first draft of ZOLA (The Italian Job, pt. 1) here in Milan; the song sounded “smaller”; it was missing something, and we knew it. Once we went to Jake Long’s London studio, the producer opened the project and told us, ‘That’s my idea; tell me what you think. As soon as he pressed play, we were speechless: it almost sounded like a drum ’n bass song, with an electronic bass line that made our brains shake too. From that moment, without even telling ourselves, we decided that it would be the song from our album THE ITALIAN JOB on which we would push most.”

Tune in now.
