musician 3D has been arrested at a Palestine outside the Labour conference.

The Bristol musician – real name Robert Del Naja – was arrested earlier today (September 26th) outside the ACC Liverpool. The Labour Party conference takes place at the venue this weekend, and the musician was seen holding a sign reading ‘I Oppose Genocide I Support Palestine Action’.

Del Naja was removed by police and arrested; Palestine Action is a proscribed organisation.

In footage being shared online of the moment, the musician says he “doesn’t recognise the offence”.

Defend Our Juries said, sharing the video of Del Naja being arrested: “Last June, Andy Burnham was on a platform with Del Naja in support of the Fossil Fuel Non Proliferation Treaty, praising his ‘clarity and leadership’.

“Today, he’s having Rob arrested under the Terrorism Act for holding a piece of paper.

“Tomorrow, hundreds will replicate Rob’s brave action near the same location. Today’s arrest gives an indication that police will be making a lot of arrests tomorrow.”
