Marvel developer confirms whether Wolverine is gay in new PS5 game

A developer behind  has addressed speculation about whether Logan is gay, following the release of the new 5 game.

It comes after Walt Williams, the game’s narrative director, described Logan as experiencing “yearning” for his longtime rival Sabretooth in an interview with .

Williams said: “Logan feels that yearning and he gets scared and pulls away. Sabretooth feels that yearning and it makes him hurt and want to lash out to exert that hurt outward.

Insomniac Games director James Stevenson later addressed the speculation on X

“Hate and love are so hand in hand… you hurt me so I’m going to hurt you, and we’re still going to be linked because now the pain is shared.”

The comments sparked speculation that the game could depict a romantic relationship between the pair.

Williams has also described their relationship as a “tumultuous but brother-in-arms type relationship” in an official PlayStation interview. “Sabretooth is kind of literally the big brother,” Williams said.
