follows the band’s debut EP , released earlier this spring. The five-track collection of songs is described as “one part bucolic folk, one part Wire-esque angular rock'n'roll and five parts magic”, with the title track offering a preview of what to expect from the EP.
Discussing “Miss Wave”, lead vocalist and songwriter Hannah Rodgers explains: ”’Miss Wave’ was written at a time when I was really struggling to deal with massive feelings that were essentially drowning me. It was like a mantra back when I was finding it harder to manage life and needed a reminder not to give in and act out on impulse. I think that night I wrote it, a few glasses of wine in, somewhere in my subconscious 'It Be's That Way Sometimes' by Nina Simone was probably playing in my head."
Off the back of their debut EP, the band have played live at The Great Escape Festival, Greenman Festival's Rising Stage, Dot to Dot Festival, SWN festival and Amsterdam's London Calling. They play Mutations Festival in Brighton on 23 October, Brudenell's 'In Colour' event in Leeds on 24 October and St Pancras Old Church in London on 29 October.
