The EP will be Loveless' follow up to the 2024 full length , which featured piano versions of the songs on her 2014 album , as well as her 2025 project of releasing a song a month on Bandcamp; several of those appear on . It was recorded with Matt Ross-Spang, the Grammy-winning producer who has worked with The Mountain Goats, Margo Price, and John Prine, and was recorded at his Memphis studio Southern Grooves with a host of local session player pros.

In a press statement, Loveless said the heart of “Accolades” is “trying to return to a place of quiet observation and meditation, the deep dark hole being more a place to sit and think about motivation for doing things as opposed to a place to wallow.” The video is available to watch below.

Following a stop at AMERICANAFEST last week, Loveless has a number of shows coming up this autumn, including two dates with Ha Ha Tonka in November.
