Lupin part 4 release date: When will it air?

Lupin part 4 cast: Who's returning?

"Two people sitting on a teal sofa in a cozy living room. The man looks thoughtful while the woman smiles warmly. Shelves with books, plants, and decor are in the background, creating a homey atmosphere with soft natural light."

The main cast of Lupin part 4 is as follows:

  • Omar Sy as Assane Diop
  • Antoine Gouy as Benjamin Férel
  • Soufiane Guerrab as Youssef Guedira
  • Shirine Boutella as Sofia Belkacem
  • Hervé Pierre as Hubert Pellegrini
  • Clotilde Hesme as Juliette Pellegrini

Etan Simon, who played Assane and Claire's son Raoul, has been replaced by Théo Christine due to a four-year time jump.

Laïka Blanc-Francard has also joined the cast.

Lupin part 4 plot: What will happen?

As part 3 drew to a close, Assane stayed true to his word and handed himself in to Guedira, who in turn ensured that his letter was delivered to Claire, Ben was released from prison, and his cell was stocked with Lupin books.

But there was one final twist in the tale.

A guard appeared and handed him an envelope from his "neighbour", which contained a photograph of Assane as a boy holding a copy of The Cagliastro's Revenge.

It was in that moment that he knew: Hubert Pellegrini, who framed his late father for stealing a diamond necklace that belonged to Marie Antoinette, had returned.

"It's a very open ending, and it's obviously left with lots to explore and lots of questions about who was behind what and how did this all happen," co-creator George Kay told Radio Times. "It's the equivalent of, 'What we've just been through for seven hours, is that what just happened?' Which feels good.

"And it's quite a soft question, it's a bit of a haunting. You're like, 'Hang on a sec.' It's a great place to end the season."

Kay went on to say that Pellegrini would return if part 4 got the green light adding: "For me, there's no question that Pellegrini is behind something there. It would be wrong to suggest he is if he's not. Nothing happens by accident in Lupin.

"Assane Diop has lots of enemies but he's only got one arch enemy. And that [having him return] was building the legacy of that central antagonism that comes out of Hubert Pellegrini."

So, what exactly will happen in part 4? The official synopsis is as follows: "Four years after the end of Lupin Part 3, Assane is still in prison. For him, Lupin is no more: He wants to serve out his sentence and keep the promise he made to his son to go and meet their family in Senegal.

"But his plans are turned upside down by a mysterious announcement signed by “Lupin”: Multiple museums are to be hit with simultaneous heists. In spite of heightened security, the thefts go off as planned.

"Assane proclaims his innocence, but everything points to his guilt. A camera even shows him in one of the museums during a robbery in which Captain Belkacem is seriously injured.

"To prove his innocence and unmask the copycat, Assane must escape and don the Lupin costume once more."
