“I try my best” follows Doillon’s 2019 album . It lands as her first release on Columbia France, and the first glimpse of a yet-to-be-announced album due in 2027. The track was co-produced by Jonathan Wilson, and arrives alongside a music video directed by Alexandra Cabral.

“There is magic here, a sense of ritual, but also grief,” Doillon says of the song. “While clearing out my mother’s house and, at the same time, moving out of my own apartment, I found myself confronted by unexpected specters emerging from all these different places.”
