Loraine James, Mabe Fratti, Mark William Lewis and more to perform orchestral works at the Barbican

Loraine James, Puce Mary, Clarissa Connelly, Mabe Fratti, Kelman Duran and Mark William Lewis are each set to perform ten-minute works made during residencies at the Corsican agricultural site of Providenza, composed for a thirty-piece string ensemble.

Each artist will present their work in the Barbican Hall alongside Sinfonietta Cracovia, the Orchestra of the Capital Royal City of Krakow, offering an orchestral spin on electronic arrangements — ranging from James' IDM and glitch textures and Fratti's avant-garde art pop, to Mark William Lewis' pop and indie inspired sound, Puce Mary's industrial noise, and Clarissa Connelly's mystical, folklore-fuelled compositions.
