“The narrative for ‘It’s Golden, This Feeling’ explores themes of intimacy and insecurity in an ambiguous way, with certain lines being more overt than others," McGeehan explains. "In some ways it’s obvious what it’s about but I always want to find the line lyrically where there’s just enough in the words for the listener to develop their own meaning or story.”
