The great has come round again and, as usual, features a fascinating, eclectic mix of music films made by independent filmmakers.
Hosted across London venues including The Barbican, The Rio Dalston, The ICA and The Garden Cinema, it runs for over two weeks (Oct 22-Nov 8) and covers everything from punk, jazz, roots rebel, soul and blues to electronica, prog-folk, afro-funk, queer art-pop and Basque rock.
Opening proceedings this year is a screening of , an insight into the life and work of alt-pop artist Patrick Wolf, told through intimate conversations with music fan and longtime friend Tilda Swinton.

Peven Everett: Voice of a Generation is a world premiere documenting the life of the legendary jazz musician and Chicago house pioneer, with contributions from Damon Albarn and DJ Rashida, among others.
First-time director Tommy Nickoloff presents You Fuckers Figure It Out: A Jason Molina Story, in honour of the Ohioan indie-rocker who died aged 39 after battling alcohol addiction.
Köln Tracks: The Legend of Keith Jarrett is a must-see for any jazz fans. It charts the riveting tale of how an untuned, sticking piano led to one of the most legendary concerts in history.
At the other end of the spectrum, director Keven Wright is the man behind , which features reflections from Norman Cook.
Finally, for all soul music fans, King Of Them All: The Story Of King Records presents the history of the Cincinnati label, most famous for having James Brown on its roster, but also responsible for some truly great records by Little Willie John, Junior McCants, Wynonie Harris and Charles Spurling.
