London artist  today shares his new album, ‘THE TIME OF OUR LIVES’, out via Human Re Sources/RCA Records.

Home to prelude singles ‘BODY’, ‘ROCKSTAR RIDER’, ‘ALL THE TIME’ and ‘CHANGE YOUR MIND’, the dense 21-track collection is both inward-looking and an invitation to experience club music as it’s intended: in physical spaces.

Featuring  and produced alongside longtime collaborators  (Yeat, 9mice),  (Jim Legxacy),  (Skepta),  (Lil Tecca, Prettifun),  (Khalid) and Lancey himself, ‘THE TIME OF OUR LIVES’ is a liberatory rap-meets-dance album that offers a cathartic getaway from the mire of our modern times; a neon-lit, deep blue dreamscape that celebrates the poetic motion of Black bodies in synchronicity.

The album moves fluidly between trap, future-facing R&B, electronic and Afro-influenced rhythms, exploring the heady highs and damning lows of Lancey’s late twenties; surveying ideas of success, freedom, loneliness and what it truly means to have the time of your life.

In the , Lancey said this about the record:

“I named my album ‘THE TIME OF OUR LIVES’ because it’s fun and a good time, but it’s also what I’m going through right now. I’m a very conscious person and I’m hyper-aware of my surroundings. It’s not all fun and games. But I do want to offer escape. This is my release.”

‘THE TIME OF OUR LIVES doesn’t just document the end of an era for Lancey; it announces the beginning of whatever comes next.

“People will project onto me what they want me to be,” Lancy adds. “I think that’s what I’m running away from all the time. When everyone turns one way, I look to go in a whole new direction altogether.”
