Joy Crookes To Play Intimate War Child UK Show At London’s Union Chapel

will play an intimate show at London’s Union Chapel on December 10th.

The songwriter teams up with War Child UK for the one-off show, which sees Joy Crookes reinterpret her catalogue from a fresh vantage point.

An intimate show for the vocalist, Joy’s ensemble utilises Hammond organ, upright bass, cello and sitar, alongside a small choir.

A rich, warming sound for midwinter, Joy comments: “I’m so excited to be working with War Child on this show. We have some amazing guests joining me on stage, and knowing we’re able to use music and this platform to make a tangible impact on the lives of children who are surviving the unimaginable in war zones around the world, means a lot to me. I hope everyone enjoys the evening as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together and that we can all continue to rally behind War Child’s work.”

Clare Sanders-Wright, Head of Live Music at War Child UK adds: “Right now, 1 in 5 children around the world have had their lives impacted by war. That’s 520 million children who need support accessing education, therapy to process their trauma, and ultimately, protection. Music has always had the power to inspire action, and we’re incredibly proud to be able to call Joy one of our Music Ambassadors, putting on this gorgeous show to support our work providing this vitally needed protection for children around the world. With this show, fans don’t just get the opportunity to feel closer to the music they love, but they can do so knowing that the money from their tickets is helping to raise vital funds for children whose lives have been torn apart by conflict.”
