Joy Crookes to play intimate Union Chapel show in support of War Child UK

The show will see the soul, jazz and R&B singer-songwriter reimagine her music as a stripped-back set. Crookes will be backed by live instrumentation including Hammond organ, upright bass, cello and sitar, alongside a small choir. She will also be debuting unreleased material and will be joined by guests throughout the evening for special collaborations.

“I’m so excited to be working with War Child on this show," Crookes says. "We have some amazing guests joining me on stage, and knowing we’re able to use music and this platform to make a tangible impact on the lives of children who are surviving the unimaginable in war zones around the world, means a lot to me. I hope everyone enjoys the evening as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together and that we can all continue to rally behind War Child’s work.”

Fans can sign up to the War Child presale here from 10 am on Tuesday, 3 November, closing at 3 pm on Wednesday, 4 November. General on-sale begins at 10 am on Friday, 6 November, with tickets available here. The special performance will raise funds for War Child UK, supporting the organisation's work delivering specialist mental health support, education, protection and immediate aid to children globally whose lives have been devastated by war.
