Brooklyn artist and bandleader has shared his new single ‘Bonanza’.

‘Bonanza’ is emblematic of Roseboro’s “post-bossa” style, his animated baritone communicating a sun-dappled elegy. On the single, Roseboro is accompanied by John Lisi on double bass, Daniel Robinson on tenor sax, Reid Devereaux on trumpet, and Issac Jamba on drums and Cuíca.

‘Bonanza’ ushers in new album ‘Va Va Voom’, out October 2nd. It’s the fourth release on his own label Public Confession Art House and follows recent works ‘Johnny’ (2023) and ‘Fools’ (2024).

Recorded in a small Flatbush apartment, the album is Roseboro’s most tender exploration of romance, religion, and regret. It serves as a repudiation of “inorganic sounds”, and Roseboro’s “protest” towards the unnatural permeates the album.

Roseboro has performed at Montreal Jazz Festival and drawn co-signs from Men I Trust, Frankie Cosmos, Field Medic, and Thee Sacred Souls, and comparisons to King Krule, Steve Lacy, and Burt Bacharach.
