Hackney artist has shared her new single ‘Lights’.

Co-created with longtime collaborator Kwes Darko and Lia Liza – whose textural, grime-influenced atmospherics provide the backdrop – John laconically muses on the ephemeral nature of fame, mirroring her fast-rising trajectory as in-demand artist.

‘Lights’, together with previous single ‘’, ushers in a new era for the rapper, melding the left-field, genre-bending quirks of her past work with refreshing immediacy.

John released her acclaimed debut full-length ‘Like A Ribbon’ in 2025, which catapulted her into a new stratosphere, within music and beyond. A high-volume, collaborative artist, John has featured on tracks by Blondshell, MJ Cole, Montell Fish & dj gummy bear, Jadasea, and Jamie xx.
