will be released in October on Errol's own imprint, Stupidity Tries. The album was entirely written, performed, mixed and mastered by Errol himself. New single "Shifting Sands" arrives as the latest preview, following lead track "Float".
"A lot of this record is obsessed with the past, how it mangles the present, and the stories we tell ourselves about it," Errol explains. "'Shifting Sands' is about being cast as the villain in someone else's story when you're denied the chance to tell your own. I wrote it driving home on the 10 one night, screaming into my phone like a voicemail I never got to leave. Am I the villain or the victim? Probably both."
Recorded over five years and performed across venues in Los Angeles, combines bleak memories and self-reflection which Errol spins into observant songs. There are textures of grunge, Americana and prog-rock, with inspiration drawn from the likes of PJ Harvey, Nine Inch Nails and Perfume Genius.
