Led by a gentle fingerpicked acoustic, “Colorado” is the first introduction to the new record, the follow up to 2022's more punk and dark-pop-leaning . "Colorado" is paired with a video that attempts to capture isolation, romance, and stillness - themes that thread through the wider album. In a statement, Stark said of her three weeks in Aspen: “It was the time to speak without boundary. Even though I felt broken, I also felt an immense amount of freedom. Each day felt so precious. Like I was dancing with a woman I had been hiding from. I was clear.”

The announcement coincides with Stark bringing her label imprint Deadly Doll to BMG in addition to signing with WME. Deadly Doll shares its name with her independent merch brand. Stark has previously opened for Post Malone, The Veronicas, The Vaccines, Guns N’ Roses, Cannons, and Jane’s Addiction, and has appeared at Lollapalooza and Reading and Leeds. She is the partner of Yungblud, with the two having collaborated together musically as well.
