will release her new album ‘MUSE’ on November 6th.

The Los Angeles, California artist took to Aspen to make the record, working alongside close friends and collaborators in the stillness of the mountains.

A deeply-intimate retelling, ‘MUSE’ introduces a familiar sonic language for Stark akin to her earlier releases. While the cinematic grandeur remains, this work strips things back and opens them up.

The production is rawer and more spacious, the vocals more exposed, and the songwriting more direct, bringing elements of melancholic Americana, bruised rock and unvarnished singer-songwriter interiority into her world.

“It was the time to speak without boundary,” she shares. “Even though I felt broken, I also felt an immense amount of freedom. Each day felt so precious. Like I was dancing with a woman I had been hiding from. I was clear.”

Stark shares new single ‘colorado’, which she describes as “the womb of the mountains”. Pared-back, melancholic guitars sit beneath an austere vocal, while the production remains deliberately minimal, leaving much of Stark’s original vocal untouched.

The accompanying video extends that world visually, capturing the sense of isolation, romance, stillness and emotional suspension that runs through the song and the wider album.
