Jeshi’s Mixtape ‘Headrush’ Is An Ode To Club Culture

London rapper  has released his new mixtape, ‘Headrush’, out via Select Discs/Partisan Records.

Conceived as a love letter to nightlife and the nightclubs where he discovered dance music “before I even had an ID that could get me in“, Headrush features the new single ‘PSYCHO!’, and the previously released title track, ‘champagne’, ‘at the wheel’, and ‘linea rossa’ featuring Cameo Blush.

Interplaying hedonism with club euphoria, the 12-track ‘Headrush’ embraces rave-leaning momentum, charting the heady highs and the comedown that comes after hours. The pivot into dance music sees Jeshi move past the fear of being an outsider in that world, recalling his formative club-going memories as a teenager.

“I’d go from Walthamstow to Essex and it felt like I’d been teleported into another world,” says Jeshi. “The over-the-topness of the clubs felt so exciting to my 17-year-old brain. There was a freedom then where you didn’t need to know the right records or be part of the right scene.

“I was DJing at friends’ parties a lot but wanted to bridge these two loves of mine and create a space between them. To make songs and put my life into them the same way I always had, but then be able to play them out straight away in rooms full of people. I love the immediateness of it.”

The mixtape caps a busy eighteen months, following collaborations with Celeste, Leon Vynehall, Vegyn, Ross From Friends and, most recently, Oscar Farrell on his track ‘Greyhound’. ‘Headrush’ follows Jeshi’s 2025 album ‘Airbag Woke Me Up’.
