told a crowd in Las Vegas that won’t be making political statements – as, unlike some artists, they’re not “here to influence you with their bullshit”.
The thrash titans are holding it down at the Sphere in Las Vegas, a state of the art venue that rivals anything on the planet. Fans are flying in from across the globe to catch the sets, backed by some specially prepared visuals.
Playing on October 10th, Metallica’s James Hetfield switched the tone to chat with the crowd, before stating that they wouldn’t hear anything political onstage.

“Unless you live in Vegas, you’ve come a long way to spend some time with Metallica,” Hetfield began. “We’re grateful for that — your travels, the money you spend, the time it took, thanks for coming to celebrate with us.”
“And I just gotta say, Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their bullshit, OK? We are here… no bullshit… we’re here to forget about all the outside shit, OK? Metallica’s agenda is love, energy and heavy music, baby!”
Whoever could he mean…?
Macklemore obviously springs out – the rapper was removed from Ed Sheeran’s stadium tour after billion venue owner Robert Kraft objected to his pro-Palestinian statements onstage.
Metallica have only just begun their mammoth stint at the Sphere – the band will play 24 shows in Las Vegas overall, finishing in March 2027.
