ITV has confirmed a premiere date for Trigger Point season 4, revealing that Lana Washington (Vicky McClure) will be back on our screens later this month.
The synopsis promises that Lana and her fellow explosives officers (or 'EXPOs') "continue their quest to keep the capital safe from explosive devices and terrorist threats", with their latest adversaries being a group of "professional mercenaries".
If you're intrigued to know more, ITV has confirmed that Trigger Point will return for its fourth season on Sunday 30 August 2026 at 9pm on ITV1 – with a boxset release on ITVX.
Line of Duty legend McClure reprises her role as Lana, the traumatised officer at the heart of the series, who determinedly forges ahead despite suffering tragedy after tragedy.
She is joined by returning faces including Eric Shango as Danny, Nabil Elouahabi as Hass, Natalie Simpson as DS Helen Morgan and Maanuv Thiara as DCI Batra.
Season 4 also makes some high-profile new additions in the form of Julie Graham (Shetland, This City Is Ours) as Commander Nia Quentin, while Jonas Armstrong (Robin Hood, Line of Duty) takes an as-yet-undisclosed role.

The latest trailer leans into that escalation, teasing "the biggest terror attack this country has seen" as Lana and her colleagues race to stop a fresh wave of devices across London.
In the footage, which you can watch at the top of this page, McClure's character asks whether this is "the last one" and warns that "these bombers know how we work".
Trigger Point launched on ITV in 2022 and quickly became one of the broadcaster's most-watched dramas, reuniting McClure with Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio, who executive produces through his HTM Television banner.
The drama was recommissioned for a fourth season before its third had even aired, underlining ITV's confidence in the format. However, it's future beyond this point remains unclear.
Trigger Point is on ITV1 at 9pm on Sunday 30 August 2026, and will be available to stream on ITVX.
