The album features artists of ten different nationalities across sixteen tracks, with the project aiming to raise awareness of how women's physical and mental health are disproportionately affected by water-related crises.

"My Mother, The Ocean" will be accompanied by a remix EP due for release later this year, and follows lead single "Mhondoro" by British-Zimbabwean artist Shingai of The Noisettes. Speaking about the track, Church says: “It’s an offering of love and reverence to Mother Ocean and Mother Water."

Discussing the project, she adds: “I am so honoured to be part of Flow. I really love the work that In Place of War does, I love how generatively they work and how they support places of war and hardship. I am honoured to be a part of this with other women who honour water and nature around the world.”

The album is set to be released ahead of the UN Climate Conference COP31, in Antalya, Turkey, where several artists including Church will be performing in front of policymakers, journalists, and activists, as well as participating in panel discussions.
