Flushing Meadows is a special place for Emma Raducanu.
Having announced herself earlier in the year with a run to the fourth round of Wimbledon, the British tennis star confirmed her standing as a top talent by winning the US Open as an 18-year-old in 2021.
Raducanu became the first qualifier to win a grand slam title in the history of the sport in a truly remarkable display – and did so without dropping a set.

Will Emma Raducanu play at US Open 2026?
No, Emma Raducanu is not playing at the US Open this year.
The 2021 winner, who was forced to pull out of Wimbledon on the eve of the tournament, has withdrawn from the fourth and final grand slam of the year.
It was confirmed at the start of August that, after discussions with her medical team, Raducanu would miss the hard court major as she continues to recover from the stress fracture to her right lower leg that caused her SW19 absence.
The 23-year-old has not played a competitive match since her run to the final at Queens earlier this year.
