Iron Maiden announce surprise 2027 North American tour

Iron Maiden have announced a surprise North American tour for 2027 – see all the dates and ticket information below.

The heavy metal legends will play 16 further dates on their 50th anniversary ‘Run For Your Lives’ tour, with the band confirming that these will be the final performances of the mammoth trek.

The new run will kick off at the Tacoma Dome in Washington on April 14, before visiting Vancouver, Portland, Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta and other cities. It will conclude with headline slots at the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio on May 14 and Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland on May 16.

Bassist Steve Harris explained that the band had initially intended to take 2027 off, but added: “We’ve been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed, particularly the North West and South East. It just seems fair to our many fans there who have given us tremendous support for so many years.”

“We can’t get everywhere but we can try!” he continued. “Also, we have always enjoyed playing the many great festivals that are in Europe and wanted to experience a couple more in the USA which we will do at the end of the tour in Columbus and Maryland.”

Manager Rod Smallwood also praised the reception to the 2026 shows, pointing to some of the biggest crowds the band have ever attracted in North America.

“In fact it was so good we just have to come back and play some places we missed and bring Eddie’s Dive Bars with us!” he said.

Fellow British acts Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age will support on the standalone dates.

Tickets for the headline shows go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (October 23), following an Iron Maiden Fan Club pre-sale starting at 10am on Monday (October 19). Additional pre-sales will take place throughout the week. Find tickets here.

The ‘Run For Your Lives’ tour began in May 2025 and features a setlist drawn exclusively from the band’s first nine studio albums, from their self-titled 1980 debut through to 1992’s ‘Fear Of The Dark’.

This year saw the band headline a huge 50th anniversary event at Knebworth in July, dubbed EddFest, with support from The Darkness, The Hu, Airbourne and The Almighty.

The tour has also been their first with drummer Simon Dawson, who replaced Nicko McBrain for live performances following the latter’s retirement from touring in December 2024.

Elsewhere, Iron Maiden are among the acts set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame next month, although they have confirmed that they will not attend the ceremony.

Earlier this year, they also sold a 50 per cent stake in their music and likeness rights to Pophouse Entertainment, the Swedish company behind ABBA’s virtual concert residency.
