Shane Lowry will hope to claim a second Irish Open title – 17 years on from winning as an amateur – on Sunday in Doonbeg.
The Irishman thrilled the home crowds with some sparkling golf to head into the weekend with a healthy lead and extended it yesterday thanks to a masterclass on the greens.
Lowry leads Jacob Skov Olesen by four shots ahead of the final round, with Joaquin Niemann a further three shots back from the Dane.
The DP World Tour event has attracted a star-studded field, including defending champion Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed, Bob MacIntyre and Brooks Koepka.
It's been a tournament to forget for McIlroy, who heads into Sunday two over par, but he will be hoping his close friend Lowry can get the job done.
