As she puts it: “Fully surrendering to the forces that be, I purged whatever wanted to come out in those moments and left the results as they were; unfiltered, raw and vulnerable.”

Take new single ‘Hold Me Close’. Fuelled by longing, it was co-written alongside Hilts, and the pair conjure a moment of emotional fragility.

Sonorous alt-soul that evokes the likes of and, India explains: “‘Hold Me Close’ was born from the feelings of longing for someone’s love, while watching them choose their own path and ambitions.”

“Written with Hilts, the track explores two sides of unrequited love as the tables turn. He put ambition first but finds himself longing for the love he took for granted whilst she has moved on, realising that her joy, peace and freedom are no longer tied to his love.”
