Yaga, the new series starring Hudson Williams, Carrie-Anne Moss and Noah Reid, finally has a release date.
The fantasy series, based on the play by Kat Sandler, follows the Slavic folklore figure of Baba Yaga, putting a feminist slant on the tale, and is set to hit screens, very aptly, on 31 October 2026.
It follows Rapp (Reid), a private detective who investigates the disappearance of Henry Park (Williams), with the investigation being made all the more complicated by a menacing ancient magic. Moss plays Katherine, a university professor who is attracted to younger men.
The series also stars Clark Backo, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Sheila McCarthy and Megan Follows and is one of Williams's first projects after his smash hit Heated Rivalry.

First trailers for the series have sent fans a little feral, teasing x-rated scenes and a rather racy take on the legend.
Meanwhile, creator Sandler described it at San Diego Comic-Con (via Deadline) as “a feminist revenge-tinged reimagining of the myth that is sexy, propulsive, vicious and scary."
She added: "I think the detective mystery element of it is a really big piece of it. And it comes so much from a pastiche of all of the stuff that I have loved my whole life and that we kind of pulled out of our childhoods like Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella, Grimm Fairytales.
"But it’s also that the theme of witches is so aligned with [bad behaviour and darkness]. So, I think a feminist bent is good for right now, and that maybe we’ve been burning the wrong witches for centuries, and this show is about what would happen if a witch survived long enough to hunt back and tell her own story."
Yaga is set for release on Sky and NOW on 31 October. You can sign up to Sky TV from £15 a month.
