They're calling it El Lassico. Tyne-Wear rivals Newcastle United and Sunderland do battle on Sunday in the League Phase of the Women's Players Cup.
The pair are locked in a title race in the Women's Super League 2 but will put their respective promotion charges on hold this weekend.
Both sides are hunting their first win in the Women's Players Cup after defeats to top-flight teams in the first round of fixtures.
As only eight places in the knock-out stages are available for 23 WSL and WSL2 clubs in the competition, defeat on Sunday would be a major blow to their hopes of qualification – so it's more than just bragging rights on the line.
