Theatre nerds rejoice! The iconic musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes musical is returning to London – and two musical theatre legends are spearheading the show.
The musical, made especially famous by the 1953 film adaptation starring Marilyn Monroe, follows the story of Lorelai and Dorothy, who head on a transatlantic trip to Paris and encounter some romantic and financial complications along the way.
Bringing the two lovable characters to life on the West End stage in 2027 are Megan Hilty as Lorelai and Rachel Tucker as Dorothy.
Hilty is no stranger to Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, as she played Lorelai in New York City Centre's 2012 Encores! staging. However, her recent Tony award-winning run as Madeline Ashton in Death Becomes Her has propelled her to the front of musical theatre consciousness.
Rachel Tucker is a former Elphaba, having starred in Wicked twice on the West End and once on Broadway. She received high praise as Myrtle in last year's production of The Great Gatsby at the London Coliseum and is currently preparing for her role in the upcoming new musical Thelma and Louise.
The 2027 production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes will take place at the London Palladium in the form of a concert, directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle with Alan Williams leading a 30-piece orchestra. Here's how you can get tickets today.
If you're after more live entertainment in 2027, you can still get Harry Styles tickets and Charli XCX tickets.
When and where can I see Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in concert?
There will be three performances of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes across 26 and 27 March 2027.
All three performances will take place in The London Palladium, just off Oxford Street and right by Oxford Circus tube station (Central, Victoria and Bakerloo lines).
