Star Wars: Galactic Racer is arguably shaping up to be the racing game of the year, with its tidal wave of positive reviews and score of 88 on Metacritic at the time of writing.
We were just as enthusiastic in our five-star review of the game too, calling it a "truly unique game that thrills and surprises" filled with a "vibrant cast of characters".
However, unlike most racing games the game is split up into different acts, each adding a key component to the story.
So, if you want to know what you’re heading in for, keep reading to find out everything you need to know about the act structure in Star Wars: Galactic Racer!

How many acts are in Star Wars: Galactic Racer?
In the main campaign of Star Wars: Galactic Racer, there are three acts total for you to complete. Every time you finish an act, the number of planets increases and so does the challenge!
Each act has its own story arc, character interactions and even new planets for you to try out, so make sure to finish the full campaign to unlock everything.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer campaign structure explained
When you fail a race or are wrecked, you will lose a galactic league token. You can only have three tokens at one time, but if you lose all of them you will be sent back to the start of whatever act you are currently on.
The first act focuses on Shade qualifying for the Galactic League by beating racing legend, Sebulba, on the track.
Once you beat Sebulba and begin the second act, you will be able to interact with Sebulba on the hub of each planet. It is here that you can play as a younger Sebulba and relive the glory days of podracing, so make sure you complete these challenges for even more rewards!
After you’ve beaten Kestar at the end of the second act, the third act commences. Kestar has stolen Sebulba’s podracer and Shade is tasked, under Sebulba’s mentorship, to get it back.
The third act has the most amount of planets and podracing challenges by far, so don’t be surprised if you have to repeat this act a few times before finally beating Kestar once and for all.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
