Hit Point stars react to devastating episode 1 death – and reveal hilarious behind-the-scenes stories

U&Dave's first scripted drama Hit Point has kicked off with a bang, as the first episode not only saw a major twist, with Nick Blood's Leo revealed as being behind the central heist, but a major character was killed off at the end of the premiere.

The character in question was Tuwaine Barrett's Hubble, an arms dealer who supplied Leo and his gang with the weapons needed to conduct their heist.

He had agreed to tell the police everything he knew, but in a stand off with Leo's accomplice Dylan (Moe Bar-El), he was shot and killed, setting up some high stakes for the rest of the season.

Reacting to the death while speaking with Radio Times exclusively, Bella star Saffron Hocking said: "Oh my god, I hated that bit because Hubble's played by one of my dear, dear friends, Tuwaine Barrett. And I was so excited to be working with him, because I hadn't worked with him yet.

"And then you have this quite real reaction to this character dying. I'm like, ‘Oh my god’, it was like Tuwaine died on set. I think everyone's rooting for Hubble so much. He's such a sweet, gorgeous character who wants to better himself, and then… justice for Hubble, man. They did him dirty."

"But he does happen to make guns and bullets, so yeah, he's not all good," Blood interjected. "But yeah, that's that moment where the stakes just get raised that bit more, and you just go, ‘Now there is no turning back from this.’

"It’s the morality tale of it all is that people always think that you can bend the rules and or break the rules, and if you just plan it well enough, you'll get away with it, and there'll be no victims. And of course, life isn't like that.

"It's also one of those ones where you go, like Saffron was saying, such a great character, and Tuwaine is so much fun to be around, I love that guy. It's a shame he's gone because you can't bring him back from the dead."

Nick Blood as Leo in Hit Point, stood by a car and in front of an ambulance.

Hocking argued that "crazier things have happened," while Blood said that Barrett's best moment was when he slammed a burger into Hocking's face, a scene he had to perform "over and over again".

"These guys, they enjoyed it too much," Hocking said, while Blood said that "he also had to eat that burger over and over again."

While Hocking said that Barrett enjoyed it, Blood noted that he did "for a while".

"He did for a while," Hocking said, "but then he had to do the running afterwards. But we were helping him out with the burgers."

Blood added: "And he was just starting to sweat with his burger, going, 'I can't eat another bite.'"

Hocking said: "Then he had to run afterwards, so he had milkshake and burger sloshing around. Then I have to do CPR. Poor bloke. But, do you know what? I was like, 'I want you to throw up after you smashed that burger in my face so many times.'"
