Emergence has arrived early for players who pre-ordered Gears of War: E-Day. And if you're one of those people, you'll want to know how many missions to expect.
Whether you're playing with human allies or bots, the E-Day campaign is a chunky one, easily outlasting most of the Gears stories that came before.
Considering the scale of the story and its importance to the overarching lore, this shouldn't come as a huge surprise. But still, if you want to know the specifics of how many acts and missions to expect, read on!
How many missions are in Gears of War: E-Day?
Gears of War E-Day is split into five acts, and it also has a prologue and an epilogue.
By our count, there are 26 main missions, or 28 if you include the prologue and the epilogue.
This is far bigger than your classic 'three act structure', then.
Each act is split into a number of different missions, obviously, with a couple of acts having as many as six missions to call their own.

And that's your lot! But one question remains...
How long with it take to beat Gears of War: E-Day?
This is a longer campaign than you might have expected, with estimates online clocking it at about 14 hours, which sounds about right to us.
