has shared the new video for ‘Know By Now’.

The songwriter’s ninth studio album ‘If’ is a moment of reflection, born from a desire to own his narrative, and root his music in the here and now. Realising he’d released more than 100 songs – and written many more – Foy decided to turn the clock back, reinterpreting select material from his current vantage point.

Split into three parts – an EP trilogy, effectively – it open with ‘If: We’ on October 30th.

New release ‘Know By Now’ spotlights where Foy is taking the project – a song about wisdom and regret sung from a much older perspective, the performance has a stark beauty to it. Co-written with Grammy-winning songwriter , it’s a warming piece of alt folk tinged with a wistful sadness.

With Foy hitting the road this month for a UK tour – including two nights at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London – he’s ready to share the song in full, alongside the video.

Foy comments: From time to time everyone feels the need to be understood without having to explain themselves.

Tune in now.
