Eris Drew & Octo Octa have shared their debut album as Alchemical Sisters.
Born from their inspirational all-vinyl b2b DJ sets, Alchemical Sisters finds Maya Bouldry-Morrison (Octo Octa) and Eris Drew fully immersed in their lysergic rave endeavours. Crafting sigils for the counter culture, Alchemical Sisters was largely fuelled by extensive sessions in the New Hampshire woods over the long winter months.
Embracing the solitude, the pair fully immersed themselves in the task at hand – little wonder the opening song on this new album is titled ‘This Is How It Should Be Done’.
A record framed by love, Alchemical Sisters describe themselves as “psychedelic chaos, acid rollers, and big beat, channeled through hardware instruments and animated by love, touch, rhythm, and spiritual fire.”
Mixed by BMG in Detroit in the Interdimensional Laboratory on high end hardware – for “ecstatically euphonic results”, we are told – the new album is wall to wall with twilight wonders.
Alchemical Sisters launched the album with a Mixlab session in East London last week, and the full project is now online in full.
