DS Thea Ramsden's (Chelsea Edge) true colours are shining through in Emmerdale.
Ramsden is quite the enigma, having previously implored her best pal Serena Sugden to raid Home Farm, searching for dirt on lady of the manor Kim Tate (Claire King).
She has vowed to get revenge on Kim, though we're not entirely sure why.
It's been quite an eventful week in the village. After returning to her wedding marquee following an attempt to flee with ex-hubby Billy (Jay Kontzle), Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley) pledged her allegiance to fiancé Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and was ready to proceed with their ceremony.
Suddenly, a car crashed through the tent and towards the couple. Jimmy King (Nick Miles) was the driver, and he had no recollection of how the disaster had occurred.
Very sadly, during a conversation with his wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler), he passed away.
But the drama was far from over, as in the aftermath of an explosion, Dawn was rushed to hospital and gave birth to a baby boy. Joe was beside her in bed talking about their happy future, though when he went to get her some water, she also died.
In today's episode, Ramsden brought her some welcome news. Despite reassurance from her friends and family that Jimmy had done nothing wrong, she needed a more concrete explanation for how the crash had happened.
Ramsden explained that another vehicle had been spotted in the area driving recklessly, and it was likely that Jimmy had crashed.
Later that day, in The Woolpack, she told Serena that she was certain Kim was the one who was driving dangerously, and was going to make it her mission to prove that she was right.
Serena questioned whether she would manipulate evidence to frame Kim, and Ramsden asserted that she would do whatever it took to ensure she was behind bars.
