A24 has released a teaser for its upcoming Nathan Fielder-helmed documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.
You Can See Everything follows the events of April and May 2023 and sees filmmakers Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim and a film crew shadow Holmes 34 days before she’s sent to prison.
Holmes was convicted in January 2022 of one count of conspiracy to defraud investors and three counts of wire fraud against investors for lying about the capabilities of her biotech firm’s core blood-testing technology. She was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.
A synopsis for the film reads: "Thirty-four days before she’s sent to prison, notorious Silicon Valley founder Elizabeth Holmes invites a sceptical film crew to document her every move. What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss."
The new clip shows Fielder appearing on camera with Holmes, as she tries to assure him that she has no reason to deceive him.
Fielder asks: “You’re being real right now?”
“I’m always being real,” Holmes responds.

The strange exchange in the clip won’t come as a surprise to fans familiar with the work of Fielder, who has previously given us various boundary-pushing and genre-bending projects.
The filmmaker rose to fame with his 2010s satirical prank show Nathan for You, which starred the comedian as a version of himself who offered questionable advice to struggling businesses.
He has also given us HBO’s docu-comedy series The Rehearsal, which saw Fielder create reenactments of scenarios individuals will face in real life.
Holmes was previously the subject of the 2019 documentary The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley and was portrayed by Amanda Seyfried in 2022 drama miniseries The Dropout.
