has shared her new single ‘to love and to lose’.
The pop talent stunned fans last week, revealing the depths of her major label travails in a tear-strewn Instagram video. Deeply emotional, support for Dylan came flooding in, with the likes of RAYE, Lauren Laverne and Chlöe Bailey rallying behind the UK star.
Dylan released her first music in 2021, and since then she’s gained over 100 million streams and released three EPs as well as her UK Top 20 mixtape, ‘The Greatest Thing I’ll Never Learn’.
Amid mounting pressure Dylan had her way – and new single ‘to love and to lose’ is the result.
The singer – real name Natasha Woods – speaks her truth on the new single, sketched out during an emotional cab journey home.
Out now, it’s been greeted rapturously by fans, a moment of pop exhalation. Dylan comments…
“This song, for me, is not about heartbreak or rage, but something quieter and more unsettling. It’s the inability to feel anything real having been through pain, grief and loss. Quite literally, it is the idea of trying to be with someone else whilst believing I am to blame for why I cannot feel the way I once did. I wrote it at 2am in a cab home from a party when I couldn’t find a song quick enough that matched the emotion I needed to heighten. It has soundtracked every cab home since.”
