The album will not be available on streaming platforms and is to be sold exclusively through both Ellis' and War Child Records' online stores from its release on 13 November, available to pre-order now. All money raised from the album goes directly towards War Child's work providing specialist mental health support, education, immediate aid and protection to children affected by war.

Ellis' Alexandra Palace Theatre performance mainly focused on his 2025 debut album but also gave taster of new music to come. Alongside the new tracks, the recording also features Ellis' take on Gillian Welch's "April the 14th, Part 1".

The album marks the first artist release on War Child Records, following the compilation, which Ellis featured on in collaboration with Anna Calvi, Wolf Alice's Ellie Rowsell and Nilüfer Yanya for "Sunday Light".
