CLASH asked ALLDAY PROJECT about lessons learned since their debut era and what inspired them to show a darker, edgier side on their new EP, ‘CRASH’.
It hasn’t been easy for K-pop group to top their stellar debut year.
Their aptly named debut single ‘FAMOUS’ and subsequent self-titled EP in 2025 topped charts and achieved global recognition, leaving members , , , , and at the top of their game but also with the difficult job of proving they’d far from peaked.
It’s no wonder, then, that the group waited almost a year to release their second EP, ‘CRASH’, in September 2026. Their defiant attitude is back in full force in the single of the same name, literally crashing back onto the charts to disrupt the status quo.
‘TALK’ and ‘DO IT LIKE THIS’ also feature the hip-hop dynamism that has become the group’s signature style. As a co-ed group, ALLDAY PROJECT combines the many talents of its members into one cohesive sound, something they’ve continued to tap into in their new comeback.
To show just how many genres ALLDAY PROJECT can pull off, ‘CRASH’ experiments with brand-new sounds through ‘UP ALL NIGHT’s warm, acoustic energy and ‘NO LIMIT’s percussion-heavy Brazilian funk. Each song evokes a different emotion, giving fans a track to suit any mood.
ALLDAY PROJECT are focused on continuing to evolve their identity as a group. With ‘CRASH’, it’s clear they’ll never allow themselves to be put in one box.
Congratulations on the new EP! What’s your favourite song on ‘CRASH’?
I’ll never be able to choose between ‘CRASH’ and ‘UP ALL NIGHT’.
‘DO IT LIKE THIS’!
It honestly changes every day. Right now, I think I’d say ‘DO IT LIKE THIS,’ But honestly, that’s what I love most about this EP. Depending on your mood, the weather, or even what you’re going through in life, a different song might resonate with you. Every track has its own identity, and I think there’s something really special about creating a body of work that can meet people in different emotional spaces. I really hope everyone finds a little piece of themselves somewhere in the album.
My favourite is ‘CRASH’! I especially love the energy and the way it feels when we perform it on stage.
‘UP ALL NIGHT’.
Since your debut EP came out last December, what have you learned that you’ve brought to this new project?
We spent a lot of time thinking about what truly represents ALLDAY PROJECT and how we could best express our identity through this album.
The visuals for this comeback are darker and more intense than what we’ve seen from you before. What did you want ‘CRASH’s concept to say about this new era of ALLDAY PROJECT?
I think compared to our previous releases, we’re now more sure of who we are, both as a group and as individuals, and I think that confidence really comes through in the visuals. To me, this era was about embracing our identity as ALLDAY PROJECT and expressing it with more confidence than ever before. I also think that as we continued performing the songs from the album, we naturally became even more confident and assured in ourselves, and I hope people were able to see that growth throughout this comeback.

You’ve now had a chance to see audiences react to ‘CRASH’ and ‘TALK’ in real time. What has surprised you most about performing them live?
Since ‘TALK’ is such a hard-hitting hip-hop track, and I feel like it really draws the audience in with its intense energy. ‘CRASH,’ on the other hand, has more of a party vibe, where we can let loose, have fun, and really vibe with the crowd. Also, now that we have more songs in our repertoire, performing on stage allows us to show so many different sides of ourselves.
The five of you have writing credits across the EP, with different combinations of members contributing to different songs. Did working together as writers reveal anything new about each other as artists?
Absolutely. I think songwriting gives you access to a side of someone that you don’t always get to see, even when you spend almost every day together. Everyone has a different way of interpreting emotions, expressing ideas, and approaching creativity, and I think those differences became even more apparent throughout the process.
Personally, I’m still in a period of discovering who I am, both as a person and as an artist. I don’t think identity is something you figure out once and hold onto forever. It’s constantly evolving, and I feel like every song allows me to explore a different part of that. One of the things I love about creating music as a group is that I’m not only discovering myself but also learning how my individual perspective can blend with everyone else’s and become something more than what I could have created alone.
Trusting the people in the room with my thoughts and creating a safe, healthy creative environment is something we really care about.
What’s something you’d love ALLDAY PROJECT to try in the future that people might not expect from you?
I think there’s still so much we haven’t explored or shown as a co-ed group. Each member has their own unique talents and strengths, and I’d love for us to experiment even more and try things people might not expect from us.
‘CRASH’ EP is out now.
