has shared new single ‘Bring You Flowers’.

The London figure is one of the most influential figures in UK music, holding down a crucial role as broadcaster, DJ, and producer. DJ Target literally wrote the book on grime, but his new project finds him taking on a fresh challenge – he’s stepping out front as an artist.

Remarkably, new single ‘Bring You Flowers’ is his debut, with DJ Target working on a full album which is set to be released next year.

“This isn’t just a DJ compilation type thing,” says Target of the album. “I was making beats and producing from 15 and although my career has been an adventure, the desire to get back in the studio was really burning these last couple of years so I made a promise to myself that we were gonna fix that.  The album really reflects my journey through different genres and salutes both the past and the future.” 

Out now, new single ‘Bring You Flowers’ throws it back for a UKG workout, capturing the feeling of a fresh pair of Patrick Cox loafers being worn in on the dancefloor.

There’s a modern twist, too – DJ Target is joined by UK all-timer Chip and afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage.

He comments: “I am super excited to announce ‘Bring You Flowers’. It feels crazy to be back on this side of the creative fence but I’ve been wanting to produce and release music again for a few years…”
