"My Life's All Right" is lifted from Small's album , a rare psych-folk collection that she first recorded as a high school music project with her teacher Lars Clutterham. The album was first reissued in 2023 by Numero Group, with Dirt Buyer's cover landing as the fourth in a series of Bayonet Records artists covering their favourite tracks from the Numero Group catalogue.
"I am just so in love with the Shira Small album," Sutkowski says. "I remember discovering it a few years back and learning the history behind it. I am floored that she was seventeen when she recorded these beautiful songs, and what really struck me is how adult the lyrics are over the course of the record. I'm not sure I've heard anything like it before as it very much exists on its own."
