"Isolation" is one of the original tracks on , but the updated recording combines Western-style guitars with synth-punk textures as vocalist Carmen Redeker grapples with the pressures of modern life.

"Isolation isn’t about the physical concept of being cut off, but rather the value that society ascribes to you," Redeker explains. "It’s about a system that constantly demands proof from you: You’re only worth something if you achieve something. Our parents all grew up with this stigma and pass it on to us. So the pigeon flies, the rat runs, and in the end, no one is allowed to stand still. Right now, it feels as though this very system is gradually collapsing.”
