Tourmates of Blink-182, Pierce The Veil, and Rise Against are back with details of a new album, their first for Epitaph. The announcement is led by the working class anthem "Hysteria" and a video inspired by horror films such as and . The Sacramento, California, quartet worked with producer Zach Tuch (Knocked Loose, Touché Amoré), with additional contributions from My Chemical Romance's Frank Iero.
The title comes from the dish made by force-feeding ducks until their livers swell - a metaphor for what society is force-fed today: disinformation, consumerism, political carelessness, and the expectation to accept an untenable world as normal.
Guitarist Violet Mayugba said: "This album is the culmination of everything Destroy Boys is and has ever done. This is the most 'us' we have ever been."
The band formed in Sacramento in 2015 and took inspiration from bands like Operation Ivy, Against Me, Misfits, and Sleater-Kinney. This will be their fifth record and the follow up to 2024's , which was put out by Hopeless (The Wonder Years, illuminati hotties). The line-up comprises Alexia Roditis (vocals/guitar), Violet Mayugba (backing vocals, guitar), Narsai Malik (drums), and David Orozco (bass).
