Manchester rapper today shares his new single, ‘Locked In’.

Over clamorous production, deed0t – his voiced wreathed in effects – turns inner city angst into a paean about Northern dreams and a destination that travels far beyond the remit of his origins.

Speaking on the track, deed0t shares: “‘Locked In is about turning survival mode into tunnel vision. I used where I come from to charge where I’m going.”

‘Locked In’ follows previous single ‘Same Faces’ and the two-part series ‘Do You Buy Your Girl Flowers?’ – an act of radical self-interrogation and an exorcism of a failed relationship.

The Manchester-raised rapper belongs to a lineage of influential musicians. His father is a defining DJ in the city’s sound system scene and his grandfather belonged to the generation who introduced reggae to the underground. deed0t grew up hiding behind his dad’s decks at shows, watching his sister rap and raised on a diet of sounds on Channel U.
